Dr. Shaler is a Nationally Certified Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Licensed Social Worker. She is a former psychotherapist with the Department of Veterans Affairs where she specialized in the treatment of PTSD and anger. Her clinical and research interests include Christian integration, military/veteran issues, crisis and trauma, adoption and attachment, and the emotional well-being of women. Dr. Shaler is an active member of numerous professional organizations and was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota, an international honors society for counselors. Additionally, Dr. Shaler speaks and writes about the intersection of faith, culture, and emotional well-being.

Gary A. Sibcy II, Ph.D. is a professor of counselor education and supervision as well as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. He has educated, trained, and supervised counselors for over 15 years. Dr. Sibcy has a broad range of research and clinical interests, including the assessment and treatment of childhood disorders, anxiety and trauma disorders, and personality disorders. He also has an interest in the integration of religious beliefs in clinical practice. His current research interests focus on developing and disseminating empirically supported treatments for both children and adults. Dr. Sibcy writes, speaks, and consults nationally and internationally.

"Dr. Mary Bartlett is a licensed professional counselor and serves as an independent behavioral health consultant on resilience, risk reduction, and suicide prevention. With a doctorate in Counselor Education from Auburn University, her professional credentials include certification as a national counselor, family life educator, military family life consultant, and she is an Alabama counseling supervisor.
Presently, she works for the United States Air Force (USAF) Air University at the Air Command and Staff College where she teaches in the Leadership Department, and leverages her training to infuse wellness-based courses into USAF Professional Military Education courses.

Dr. Lahikainen is a licensed psychologist and credentialed Health Service Provider from the state of Massachusetts. Over the years he has taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in human services, psychology, school counseling, and rehabilitation counseling programs. In addition to his position as a faculty member, he is pursuing a Master of Divinity Degree at Liberty University.
In addition to his teaching, Dr. Lahikainen worked for fifteen years in a range of clinical and practical settings providing psychotherapy, assessment, and consultation for a diverse array of client populations. These settings include inpatient psychiatric care, college counseling centers, community mental health centers, and corporations. Specializing in human motivation and leadership, his professional focus has been on teaching and applying such concepts to prepare people for making a positive change in their lives. His research interests include the areas of positive psychology, leadership, mindfulness, motivation, and spirituality.
